The Decision to Sell
Selling a home is a significant matter. There should be good reasons for the decision, such as a job change to a new community or the need for more space. Your reason for selling can impact thenegotiating process.
Decision Time: FSBO or Agent?
Have you ever sold a home before? Do you have a knowledge of Real Estate Basics. The language, Financial requirements for you and the buyer?
Do you have the time required to complete the sale. Open Houses, Contracts, Closing, Determining buyers financial qualifications?
Are you good at negotiation. Can you remain calm and unbiased with lawyers present during negotiations. Do you know how to answer legal questions? How would you continue negotiations, if a problem (e.g. termites in your home) was foundduring closing or counter-offers?
If you can answer positively to the above questions, then you can feel more secure at FSBO. But if the above questions scare you, or you don't know the answers or your responses are negative, Hire an Agent! |
